Downtown Honokaa 1943

Honokaa’s downtown district has a quaint historic appeal that reflects our unique roots, yet supports the diverse needs of our growing population.  To truly appreciate and enjoy Honokaa, stroll down Mamane Street, talk with the people you meet! Stop in for a treat at the Hamakua Fudge shop ,  pick up supplies from T. Kaneshiro Store or shop for Hamakua grown coffee from a local farm.  Take time to visit or ‘talk story’ with residents, fellow travelers and shop keepers as you shop for gifts, art aloha wear or unusual treasures.  Take a walking tour, enjoy a drink or just kick back and relax in one of the fine B & B’s in the area.
